AMD Fluid Motion Frames update release

Updated: Apr 30

The AFMF ( AMD Fluid Frames ) has been officially released, and the promise to boost frame rates along with bug fixes are all included in the new update 24.3.1.

The new update includes a list of new bugs and fixes and expanded HYPR-Tune support. The link here will provide the full patch notes.

The AFMF update is looking to add a higher and smoother framerate boost to a selected few games, rolling out the support right away.

Games supported by the AFMF update (AMD Confirmed)

Dragon's Dogma 2

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition

Outpost: Infinity Siege

These are possibly the games that were AMD's main focus to test out the new patch update and most likely support many more games in the future. This is not to say you cannot try some games yourself.

I have tried this on BG3. On average, my frames were between 30 and 40 FPS on performance mode and well over 45 once I turned on Turbo mode. Once the AFMF is enabled, you can see a huge FPS boost, averaging over 50 fps on performance mode on battery.

Though I have not tried many games, I will be looking to see what other games will receive this new update. The AFMF update is officially here, and AMD is looking to provide the best performance for all of its products.

If you have not bought a Rog Ally yet and is still wondering if if it is worth a buy take a look at my review about the powerful hand-held pc.
